MONROVIA - Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services
, one of the region's largest mental health treatment and education centers for at-risk youth, has promoted Monrovia resident Jennifer K. D'Alvarez
to the post of director of development, officials said. D'Alvarez will be responsible for overseeing the research and requests for funding support, major gifts and planned giving programs; special events; communications and outreach; and coordinating activities with the agency's Advisory Board and Optimist Clubs. She joined the OYHFS staff in July 2006 as assistant director of development where she played a special role in major gifts and contributed to all areas of fundraising.
