She completed her graduate training at Monmouth University with a concentration in Child psychotherapy and play therapy. Jennifer specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and as a clinician within a full comprehensive DBT program at DBT Center of NJ, she provides evidence-based treatment to suicidal and self-injurious children, adolescents, and young adults.
Jennifer's extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy through Behavioral Technologies includes the 5-day Foundational Training, for clinicians who are already part of an intensively trained DBT Team, DBT with Multi-Problem Adolescents; DBT Validation Principles and Strategies; DBT Chain Analysis Training, DBT Advanced Benefit Workshop, Getting to the Heart of the Problem: Targeting, Assessing and Solving Problem Behaviors. Jennifer has provided clinical treatment in a variety of settings. She worked with sexual abuse survivors in a residential treatment facility providing psychotherapy, psycho-education for clients and support staff, as well as implementing play and sand tray therapy into their treatment plan. During this experience, Jennifer developed and implemented group therapy to promote effective coping strategies for this client population. Jennifer was the primary clinician for an Adolescent Partial Hospital Program in an outpatient setting offering individual and group therapy, psycho education, as well as Multi-Family support services for those enrolled in the program. In addition to providing therapeutic services she collaborated with ancillary treatment providers such as school personnel, individual and family counselors, as well as advocating for insurance providers to support treatment. Jennifer has been a clinician at a non-traditional private school for academically and emotionally impaired youth which includes grades 6 through 12.
