Jenifer Norrod 9/29/2003 - Jenifer Lynn "Jeni" Norrod, 41, of 17 Chestnut St. died at 6:44 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 28, 2003) in WCA Hospital following a lengthy illness.An area resident most of her life, she was born Jan. 5, 1962, in Friona, Texas, the daughter of Harlod Lynn Norrod and the late Elizabeth Jean Colley Norrod. She was a graduate of Frewsburg High School in 1980 and earned an associate's degree in human services from Jamestown Community College and her bachelor of science degree in individual studies from Buffalo State College.She was employed as a resident manager and youth counselor by The Resource Center from 1988 until 2002.She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and active with the Joint Neighborhood Project Youth Community. She will be remembered as a very compassionate person who loved working with the youths of our community.She was truly a people person.She had several essays and review articles published in the Phaelos Journal Magazine in September 1997. Besides her father of Jamestown, she is survived by a son, Benjamin Langford of Jamestown; a daughter, Charlotte Langford of Jamestown; four brothers: Patrick and Kelly Norrod, both of Frewsburg, Brent Norrod of Crafton, Pa., and Shawn Norrod of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by her mother, who died April 7, 1982.
