Speaker: Rev. Jeff O'Grady
Sr. Pastor, Community Presbyterian Church
Rev. Jeffrey V. O'Grady
As pastor of the San Marino Community Church
for the past three years, Rev. Jeffrey O'Grady
leads a multiple staff congregation in the rapidly pluralizing and changing environment of the Los Angeles area.
After serving for eleven years at Princeton Theological Seminary (concluding as the Dean of Student Affairs), Jeff returned to pastoral ministry to take on the challenge of leading a congregation at the dawn of the twenty first century.
He also serves as the Chair of the Committee on Preparation for Ministry in the Presbytery of San Gabriel, on the Board of Trustees for Monte Vista Grove Homes (a retirement facility for Presbyterian clergy, missionaries, and church educators/musicians) and on a scholarship committee for the Fund for Theological Education in Atlanta, GA.
Ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church U.S.A., he holds degrees from Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Luther Seminary (M.A.) and the University of Minnesota (B.S.) and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry at San Francisco Theological Seminary.
Concerned about the future of the Church, Jeff
continues to work with seminary students (from Fuller and San Francisco Seminaries) in translating theory into practice for ministry as a supervisor for internships and field education.
