During his time with the U.S. Department of Energy as a Clinton Administration appointee, Jeff served as an advisor to U.S. Secretaries of Energy and senior leadership. This included key involvement in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of major programs, including the national laboratories, nuclear waste disposition, nuclear weapons and material security, and spearheading accelerated cleanup of the $6B former nuclear weapons complex, the world's largest environmental program. LYNCHBURG, Va., February 3, 2009 The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) is pleased to announce the promotion of Jeff Crater as Vice President, B&W Government Relations. Crater will be responsible for the company's overall relations with the U.S. government, including Congress and the executive branch. He will lead the company's interface with government officials and stakeholders at the local, state and international levels and with multilateral institutions. Crater replaces Craig Hansen, who has been appointed Vice President and Product Line Manager for Nuclear Manufacturing within Babcock & Wilcox Nuclear Power Generation Group, Inc.
