TLPOA General Manager Jeff Schlaack gave an update at Monday's TLPOA meeting. He said about 80 people attended a Marcellus Shale drilling meeting Feb. 21 with J.R. Kern, president of Resource Technologies Corp. of State College, the featured speaker. "At that meeting I mentioned there were no drilling rigs in Treasure Lake on any of our property," Schlaack said. "It has come to my attention that there was a permit issued in 2010 in the northern quadrant by Caphaitien toward Cayman Landing up in that area. We have not negotiated any kind of agreement with road use for any drilling company." Schlaack said he will investigate and provide more information.

At the drilling meeting, Schlaack said the board of directors responded to a proposal by Triana Energy several years ago that suggested placing a well at or near the Ski Lodge intersection and close to the dam of Bimini Lake.
