Jeff Ray, Chief Executive Officer (Ventyx)
Jeff Ray is chief executive officer of Ventyx, appointed in June 2012.
Ray joins Ventyx from Dassault Systèmes, a $2.4 billion software firm, where he served as executive vice president of geographic operations and was a member of the firm's executive committee.
In this role, he
created a new model for the company's growth, which led to greater speed and agility across the business.
Ray also served as COO and subsequently CEO of SolidWorks, a global engineering software firm and division of Dassault Systèmes.
Earlier he held leadership positions at software companies Progress Software and Compuware Corporation, at which he demonstrated consistent track records for revenue and customer growth.
Ray began his career at IBM, holding numerous sales and management positions over 17 years.

As CEO, Jeff steers the company toward continued market leadership and profitability, ensuring that SolidWorks delivers software that helps customers around the world design better products.
Previously, Jeff served as the chief operating officer for DS SolidWorks, responsible for expanding the company's sales, distribution, and marketing infrastructure.
Jeff joined SolidWorks in 2003 from business software vendor Progress Software Corporation, where he was responsible for all customer-facing field operations in dozens of countries as vice president of worldwide field operations.
Previously, he served as vice president of global solutions at Compuware Corporation, where he launched the company's integrated software/services practices and grew annual sales from zero to $100 million.
Jeff began his career at IBM, where he held numerous management positions over a 17-year period.
He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Texas A&M University.
