Jeff Rasanen Family Ministries Pastor
wife Monna grew up in Duluth, MN.They were high school sweethearts and married on December 9, 1972.Jeff graduated from the Univ. of MN in 1976 with a B.S. degree in Industrial Arts and a minor in coaching.From 1976 to 1980, Jeff was a high school teacher and coach in Rush City, MN. During that time, God blessed them with two children, David and Kristy.Sensing a call to full time ministry, the Rasanen's moved to Springfield, MO where Jeff completed a M.Div. Degree from AGTS.
There, in 1983, Jeff
and Monna were blessed with the birth of their third child, Benjamin.After graduation Jeff
served as Min. of Ed. at First Assembly
in Great Bend, KS.He
administrated a K-12 Christian school, gave oversight to the Sunday School, did marriage counseling, conducted marriage enrichment seminars, supervised facility maintenance, and taught adult SS classes.While serving in Great Bend, Jeff
also studied towards a D. Min.Degree from Bethel Seminary.After seven years, Jeff
and Monna left Great Bend to pastor churches in Kansas and Iowa.Before moving to Bella Vista in January of 2006, Jeff was the senior pastor at Faith Assembly of God in Elk Run Hts, IA for 14 years.Monna, who had been busy pouring her life into their three children, found time to complete a B.A. Degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Family Studies from the Univ. of N. Iowa.
While pastoring in Iowa, Jeff
and Monna experienced the tragic death of their oldest son David and his
wife Sandi who were killed in an automobile accident.David was a medical doctor completing his residency as an Orthopedic Surgeon and Sandi was an elementary school teacher.
This event of 2004 brought major changes into their lives and precipitated their move to NW Arkansas.Family has always been a priority in the lives of Jeff
