After four years of apprenticeship at Orange Coast College, Minarik got his start in the industry with Tardif Sheet Metal where he worked as a project manager and an estimator.In 1985, he joined the management team of Couts Heating and Cooling, extending his experience managing projects and supervising crews.
Returning to Tardif Sheet Metal
in 1989, Jeff
completed jobs valued in the million-dollar range for a number of customers including Baxter Health Care and the Anaheim Convention Center
.In 1993, Minarik founded Classic Air Systems, taking on a project to provide heating and air conditioning units for the Fountain Valley School District.
Known for efficient project management and hard work, Jeff
directed the installation of more than 300 units with a crew of just six workers.Dedication to customer satisfaction and completing projects on-time and on-budget lead to continued success over the next five years. In 1998, Jeff was introduced to Lloyd Smith, president of LDI, which ultimately lead to a business partnership that resulted in the establishment of the LDI Commercial Division.
