...Jeff HiggsJeff Higgs has been heavily involved as a volunteer since 1979 and served as a member of SJVFD since early 2000.He proudly served the citizens of Manassas by providing Firefighting and Cardiac Technician services, as well as serving as an Administrative/Line Officer.He currently serves the growing community of Prince William County, and his involvement in Fire Services has enabled him to serve as a Senior Emergency Management Consultant to the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, GA.Jeff is an active member of the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads (VAVRS) as an Instructor Trainer for Vertical Rescue, an Instructor for Basic and Light Rescue, and an evaluator for a variety of VAVRS rescue components.Jeff is currently certified as a Fire Fighter I, EMT-B, EVOC, DFP Rope Rescue I, II and III, DFP Confined Space, DFP Trench, DFP/VAVRS Vehicle Rescue/Extrication, and NFA ICS.
is a Master SCUBA Diver and Public Safety Diver thru PADI, and a Swift Water Rescue Technician.Throughout his
volunteer career, Jeff
has received numerous awards and accommodations covering Acts of Heroism and Life Saving from the Prince William Country Chamber of Commerce
