Jeff Guyton is President & CEO of Mazda Motor Europe, and a Managing Executive Officer of Mazda Motor Corporation. Jeff joined Mazda in Hiroshima in 2000 as General Manager of the Cost Planning Division, responsible for controlling new product cost and investment worldwide. Jeff was named Vice President & CFO of Mazda's European business in 2003, and assumed his present position in 2009. Finnish student receives €10,000 prize from Mazda Europe CEO Jeff Guyton Award underscores Mazda’s spirit of challenging convention to make things better Mazda Motor Europe President & CEO Jeff Guyton personally handed over the first “Mazda Make Things Better Award� yesterday to Antti Junkkari, a Finnish medical student, during a ceremony at the Geneva Motor Show.
Organisers hope to eventually expand the venture to other parts of Africa. 

“We were very impressed by the way Antti’s project mirrors the spirit of Mazda’s ‘challenging convention to make things better’ principle,â€� said Mazda Motor Europe President & CEO Jeff Guyton, who was head of the award jury. “And we believe his initiative will effectively improve the lives of local people, which is exactly what this award is all about.â€� 

Mazda launched the Make Things Better Award in October 2013 in Warsaw at the 13th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates, an annual forum bringing together Nobel Peace Prize recipients with young leaders of tomorrow to exchange ideas on how to make the world a better place.
Saruwatari takes over from Ichiro Hirose, who will lead Mazda’s Powertrain Development Division as General Manager at Mazda Motor Corporation in Hiroshima, Japan.

Euro NCAP recently granted the new Mazda3 the maximum five stars for safety.
