Jeff Duncan - Member-At-Large
Jeff Duncan is a Director for the Kansas Juvenile Justice Authority (JJA).
He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Justice Studies from Fort Hays State University in 2000.
In 2007, Jeff was elected to the KCA Executive Board as an At-Large Member.
Jeff has been with JJA since September of 2004.
He currently oversees the JJA Integrated Systems and Programs Unit which is responsible for juvenile correctional facility processes, including quality assurance and assistance in creating system-wide improvement.
In addition, his
team provides oversight and technical assistance to the residential provider system.
Jeff currently serves as the Statewide Coordinator for the Youthful Level of Service/Case Management Inventory Assessment
(YLS/CMI) and played an integral role in enhancing the reentry services offered to the youth of Kansas.
Most recently, Jeff
team has worked to launch Juvenile Justice Foster Care as new placement option for youth.
Jeff's personal motto is "what's best for the kids" and his
unit prides themselves in doing "whatever it takes" to get the job done.
He hopes that he can continue to bring a juvenile-based aspect to KCA through conferences and regional training opportunities across the state.
