St. George Shuttle, a competing shuttle service, still runs on gasoline, but general manager Jeff Calegory said the company remains popular among travelers."When gas goes up, people are more willing to look for alternative transportation," Calegory said. While St. George Shuttle has seen a rise in ticket sales, Calegory said the increase is somewhat offset by the recent introduction of a substantial competitor.Founded in 1993, Calegory said St. George Shuttle has seen relatively few serious competitors over the past 15 years, and is now forced to contend with a cheaper service.
