Vice President Jeff Bisch.
A letter released to the Macon Chronicle-Herald states BischCo, Inc. had been in negotiations with KFC Corporation on the relocation of its Moberly and Mexico restaurants.KFC had demanded that these two restaurants be relocated by June 1, 2008.Bisch had already remodeled its locations in Brookfield, Chillicothe and Macon in the past 12 months.Bisch could not adhere to the financial demands of building these relocated restaurants and had asked for and extension of time.
"It was going to cost $1.5 million to rebuild a store at each location in Moberly and Mexico," Bisch said. Bisch said, they were notified last week that KFC Corporation had denied them the extension of time to relocate the stores and would have to forfeit the franchises in Moberly and Mexico. With the decision and recent economic situations Bisch had to cease operation of all its locations effective immediately.
