CLOSED - KFC in Macon has closed its doors for the final time, according to Jeff Bisch, vice president of BischCo., Inc.Bisch
said the company could not adhere to the financial demands being made by KFC Corporation
to build and relocate stores in Moberly and Mexico.

A letter released to the Macon Chronicle-Herald states BischCo, Inc. had been in negotiations with KFC Corporation
on the relocation of its Moberly and Mexico restaurants.KFC
had demanded that these two restaurants be relocated by June 1, 2008.Bisch
had already remodeled its locations in Brookfield, Chillicothe and Macon in the past 12 months.Bisch
could not adhere to the financial demands of building these relocated restaurants and had asked for and extension of time.
"It was going to cost $1.5 million to rebuild a store at each location in Moberly and Mexico," Bisch
said, they were notified last week that KFC Corporation
had denied them the extension of time to relocate the stores and would have to forfeit the franchises in Moberly and Mexico.With the decision and recent economic situations Bisch had to cease operation of all its locations effective immediately.
"There are approximately 130 employees total in the five locations," Bisch
said."The Macon branch hired approximately 20 employees.We told our employees Sunday night and Monday morning about the closings" Bisch
