played freshman and junior varsity basketball at Windham Tech
when Elliott was coaching the boys.
"The first thought I ever had about coaching, we were doing a chalk talk in his

starts rattling off questions and, not thinking, I just started blurting out answers," Belanger
said, 'Maybe one day you'll be a coach,' and that kind of put the thought in my head."
The boys coach for the last 15 years, Belanger
often finds himself going to Elliott for advice.
"Ray has been such a big part of Windham Tech basketball for so many years," Belanger
wrote in an email.
