"To me, it's defiling God's house," said Jeff Ball, pastor at South Main Street Church of God.
...The South Main Street church
appeared to have the most physical damage, Ball
said. The perpetrators sprayed the dry contents of fire extinguishers throughout the building.
The cost for cleanup was estimated to be between $4,000 and $6,000, Ball
said.Religious paintings were covered with dust from the extinguishers, as were walls, windows and books. The pastor's office was completely covered in dust.
In order to save money - the church is preparing to launch a new building project in the spring - Ball
canceled a midweek service and asked for volunteers to help clean.
