Collier Manager Jeanne Creese is on administrative leave, and township officials are remaining mum about the reasons for her leave or her future employment status, saying it is a personnel matter.
Ms. Creese, who has been manager since July 2004, met privately 10 days ago with several township commissioners.
was absent from the Oct. 14 commissioners' voting meeting and from a public budget work session Tuesday night.
Part of the manager's job is to prepare the annual operating budget.
Other than elected officials, the only township employee at the Tuesday meeting was Secretary Roberta Schmitt, who had served as interim manager before Ms. Creese was hired.
The board held a private session to discuss personnel before the start of Tuesday's budget meeting, but no action was taken that involved Ms. Creese

Ms. Creese, 37, a summa cum laude graduate of Geneva College, was township manager in Rochester, Beaver County, before coming to Collier.
She also is a state-certified emergency medical technician and fire academy instructor and has been serving as Collier's local emergency management coordinator.

According to the 2008 budget, her
annual salary is $67,600.
