After spending 20 years managing the company's top properties in the USA, he joined InterContinental Hong Kong as Managing Director in February 2004.
The native Frenchman from the Champagne region has now been at the helm of InterContinental Hong Kong
flagship property, for over ten years.
Overseeing a team of over 800 associates, Jean-Jacques
has been the driving force and vision behind over US$90 million in major renovations and enhancements to the hotel over the past decade.
Highlights have included the renovation of all 503 guestrooms, the creation of "Asia's Most Spectacular Presidential Suite", and the launch of NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong

As such, in addition to its green initiatives, InterContinental Hong Kong
has several other corporate social responsibility initiatives.
These include a continuing community service programme with Po Leung Kuk, an organisation which provides welfare, educational, cultural and recreational services for needy children.
The hotel is also working with the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association
, a non-profit welfare organization providing quality community-based rehabilitation services for people with mental illness.
With unflagging support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Jean-Jacques established the InterContinental Miami Ball to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation in 1995.
This event, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, continues to raise millions of US dollars, fulfilling the wishes of thousands of terminally ill children.

Previous positions include General Manager postings at the Willard InterContinental in Washington, DC, InterContinental Miami and InterContinental New Orleans.
Prior to that, he was resident manager of the Hotel InterContinental Paris and held management positions at the Mark Hopkins InterContinental in San Francisco, InterContinental Boston and the Hilton International Park Lane in London.
