just purchased a fully robotic total station, which allows one person to perform the duties that generally require a two-person crew."
The introduction of robotics equipment and other new technology such as Global Positioning Systems (GPS) adds a new dimension to surveying and mapping.In addition to increased productivity and turn around times, Global Land Solutions
is able to provide boundary, topography, ALTA/ACSM, mortgage and construction layout survey services.The company specializes in surveying and mapping for communications companies throughout Michigan and offers assistance to out of state developers.
"With all the growth and development taking place in this area, I hope to begin to build those long-term, professional relationships that everyone hopes for when starting a new business," Schwandt
said."Upon passing the bar exam, I plan to incorporate that into what I am doing now to provide to clients services not found anywhere else.I am looking forward to watching this company grow and becoming a fixture in the Rockford community." Schwandt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Surveying Engineering from Ferris State University and is a licensed surveyor in Michigan.He is also in his third year at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing and plans to receive his Juris Doctor degree in May 2003.He formerly served as Private Development and Survey Group Manager for a large engineering firm, and brings extensive experience in surveying and land development.

wife, Kateri, have five sons under the age of ten and are committed to the community."We
are very involved with Rockford Little League, Rockford Hockey Association and the Rockford Public Schools
said."If everything goes as well as we hope it will, our roots will sink firmly here in Rockford and our boys will have a tradition to carry on."
