Jason Hoy, Pastor of Congregational Care
...
Jason L. Hoy (jason null@null aplaceforyou NULL.org) was raised in Beaver Springs, PA. Jason attended Christ Church, an evangelistic, Biblically-based church throughout his childhood and adolescence, but wasn't truly born-again until later. He is deeply thankful to the Lord for his believing family and friends from the church for praying, and being an example for him, even though he didn't know the Lord personally at that time. He is living evidence that God's Word does not return void, and later in life, he has returned to the training he received as a young man.
He earned his bachelors degree from Elizabethtown College in Elementary Education/Religion. It was during his senior year that the Lord began drawing him unto Himself. After graduation, he moved to Kutztown, PA to continue his soccer career, and work as a manager of a soccer retail store. In Kutztown, Jason met his wife, Jennifer.
...
Shortly after Jennifer's witness to Jason, the Lord saved Jason and radically changed his life. During their courtship, Jason assisted Jennifer in leading the youth group at Calvary Baptist Church in Allentown, PA.
...
Jason also served as Vice Chair on the Deacon Board. Jason enjoyed serving the Lord in these various ministries, and has always felt the Lord's call for him to become a pastor.
Jason has worked in various positions before coming to Ebenezer. He managed a soccer store, played professional soccer, coached college soccer, and taught physical education to middle and senior high school students. Before accepting the call to come to Ebenezer in April 2006, he worked for Muhlenberg College in the admissions and financial aid offices. Jason holds an M.Ed. in Sport Management, and is currently pursing an MA in Biblical Counseling at Westminster Seminary.
Jason has a heart for those who are hurting as a result of his own trials and difficulties. He desires to comfort others out of the comfort he has received from the Lord. He has been humbled and honored to minister to the members of Ebenezer in this capacity.
Jason and Jennifer are the proud parents of three daughters, Hannah, Rachel, and Sarah.
