Mr. Bushee has attended the New York State Summer School for the Arts, School of Orchestral Studies in Saratoga Springs, for the past two summers, playing principal in the orchestra.Last year he attended on a full scholarship.Mr. Bushee was principal in the All-State Conference Orchestra last year, principal trumpet in the All-State Wind Ensemble this year, and assistant principal in teh All Eastern Orchestra in Pittsburgh, last year.He was the lead player in last year's 315 All-Stars band, competing nationally and winning first place in the competition, playing with Wynton Marsalis in Avery Fisher Hall.Mr. Bushee has also had the opportunity to play for Charles Schlueter of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Robert Early and Roger Blackburn of The Philadelphia Orchestra.
