work has appeared in national, regional, and local publications with subject matter ranging from golf course architecture to 'Playing Partners from Hell'.
Co-host of 'Michigan Golf Weekly', now in its 3rd season airing Saturdays at 6pm on CBS-Detroit, Janina
also co-hosted 'GolfWrap' on WJR-AM-760 and has made numerous television appearances locally and nationally.She
has filmed specialty golf segments for stations in Chicago, Palm Beach and Detroit and co-hosted the UPN-50 'Beat the Pro Celebrity Shoot-Out' from 1996 - 2000.
A professional speaker, Janina
has entertained a variety of clients all over the country with her
experiences in golf and business.She wrote a monthly golf column in the Body & Mind Section of the Detroit Free Press since 2000 and teaches "The Positive Golfer" programs, which help golfers create new mental habits and course management techniques to lower their golf scores.

carries a 2-handicap and was ranked among Michigan's top-ten women amateur golfers in 1999, '98, '96, and '94 and is still invited to compete in a Ryder-Cup style event for Michigan's top women golfers.The first woman to compete on a men's golf team in high school (Pershing High School, Detroit) and in college (Wayne State University, Detroit), Janina
was inducted into the WSU Athletic Hall of Fame
in April 2000. She
was also the first woman to be invited to serve on Golf Digest Magazine's
"100 Greatest Courses" ranking selection panel, and has been consulted on several golf course design projects for her
opinions on Forward Tee placement and playability features.Janina was the Founder of the Metro Detroit chapter of the Executive Women's Golf Association (EWGA), part of a national organization that facilitates businesswomen entering into the world of 'client' golf.She is Advisor to several women's golf organizations and serves on many Boards of Directors and Trustees, including the Michigan Women's Golf Association (MWGA), the ClubCorp Detroit Society and the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO).Janina is also a professional musician and recording artist (keyboards and vocals) and distributed her first recording, "The Treasure - An Inspirational Collection", under her own label, Parrott Records.She is Director of Music at St. Basil Parish in Eastpointe, Michigan and also owns and operates two area restaurants, CAPERS 'Steak by the Ounce' in Detroit and Mount Clemens, Michigan.
