Prior to her assignment as Chief Learning Officer, Janet was Director, IBM Global Services Institute and Worldwide Professional Skills, where she created and managed a major component of IBM's global services field operations that built the infrastructure needed to ensure success in IBM's largest and most strategic growth market: I/T consulting and services.
As Director of the Institute, Janet initiated and successfully deployed employee development and professional skills certification programs to reduce business risk and ensure consistency in quality of services delivery.
Most recently, Janet was Managing Partner for Business-to-Employee Solutions at iXL/Scient, responsible for helping clients realize the value of their investments in human capital through solutions that enhanced employee productivity and reduced costs in the areas of eLearning, eHR and knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Janet holds a BA in Mathematics from California State University, Sacramento, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
