Janet George joins LeaderSpark
Janet George recently joined LeaderSpark as Project Coordinator/Master Trainer.
will provide support for the Leadership for Change in Targeted Neighborhoods programs.

Janet most recently served as literacy training specialist on the National Program Design and Evaluation Team for City Year.
Prior to joining City Year as Service Director in 1999, Janet led the AmeriCorps literacy programs in the College of Education at The Ohio State University.
has nearly 20 years experience as an instructor and trainer, with 16 of those years being in the national community service and AmeriCorps
Passionate about education and youth leadership, Janet
is committed to advocating for youth.
Her community involvement includes serving as a community representative on Columbus City Schools' Curriculum Quality Control Committee; volunteering at the Neighborhood Pride Center - North, and being a member of the Malaika Mentoring Program Advisory Committee, Franklin County Children Services.
has been a Malaika mentor to her
"little sister" Deyonna, 14, for more than five years.
In addition to being a dynamic trainer and facilitator, Janet's experience also includes program development and implementation, volunteer coordination, and service learning and leadership development for youth and adults.
Originally from Michigan, Janet
has been a long-time Ohio resident and considers Columbus home.
currently resides in northwest Columbus.
