Saltzman takes new post at Discovery Consumer Products
November 07, 2001SILVER SPRING, Md. -- Jane Saltzman has been named executive vice president of creative and merchandising for Discovery Consumer Products, the retail, publishing and licensing arm of Discovery Communications.
In the newly created position, Saltzman
is responsible for setting the strategic and creative direction for all Discovery products.She
will also work closely with senior executives from all Discovery media brands, as well as other members of the consumer products team to ensure that the Discovery experience is reinforced across all platforms and channels.
...Prior to joining Discovery, Saltzman was senior vice president of merchandising for eToys, a company she helped found.EToys
went out of business earlier this year.Her
retail career began in the executive training program at Macy's
Department Stores.After progressing through several increasingly responsible roles on the buying team at Macy's
joined specialty retailer Imaginarium
as senior buyer and merchandise manager.
