also conducts workplace training on numerous topics, including unlawful workplace harassment prevention and diversity.
An active writer and speaker on employment law topics, Ms. Howard-Martin
co-authors a treatise on Title III of the ADA titled Public Accommodations Under the Americans with Disabilities Act: Compliance and Litigation Manual (West Publications, 2000).She
authors a weekly column on labor and employment law issues for USAToday.com.Her other works include a chapter in a book on the ADA and articles on a variety of topics, including workplace violence, sexual harassment and the ADA.She
recently appeared on MSNBC's
"Today in America" to discuss workplace harassment issues.Ms. Howard-Martin is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Arbitration Association, where she serves on the Labor Management Task Force.She also is a member of the steering committee of the National Employment Law Council.

was a partner at another firm where she
practiced employment law.She also served as an Administrative Law Judge for the government of the Virgin Islands, Department of Labor where she conducted wrongful discharge hearings.After graduating, cum laude, from Harvard-Radcliffe College in 1979, Ms. Howard-Martin received her law degree from Harvard Law School in 1982.
