Jan Belle, president of the Ruby Hill Neighborhood Association, said the mayor got "excited" when residents who have been tackling the Ruby Hill issue proposed a citywide plan to place utility lines in Denver's parks underground.
Councilman Chris Nevitt, whose southwest Denver district includes Ruby Hill, said such a plan would help eliminate neighborhood conflicts.
"Everybody hates the damn things," he
said, referring to transmission and distribution lines.
