Vietnam War veteran, Oshkosh area farmer and retired high school teacher Jim Zitzelsberger has written a novel, Cry for the Water Buffalo, based on his experiences as a soldier in southeast Asia more than 30 years ago. Zitzelsberger is coming to the Fond du Lac Public Library on Monday, April 19, at 6 p.m. for a reading, discussion and book signing. Zitzelsberger, 61, served two tours of duty in Vietnam with the Navy, stationed in Da Nang and Quang Tri during the pivotal years of 1967, 1968 and 1969.
