JAMES ADAM RICHLIANO makes his literary debut with a BANG! -- Rick Goldschmidt (author of The Enchanted World of Rankin/Bass and The Making Of The Rankin/Bass Holiday Classic: Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer )
...
And the research so engrossed its author, Richliano also served as the book's art director and designer. What moved him to do so, he says, was album covers and sheet music from the 1930s, '40s and '50s -- the era also known as the Golden Age of Christmas Music. 'Those were wonderful things that were lost to me,' he says. He reacted by bringing these images to others in his book. -- Marcia Stamell, The Independent (December 20, 2002)

"Thought you may want to check out a new book called "The Christmas Song Stories" by James Richliano. The author interviews a lot of songwriters and remaining family members ... great stories that I bet you would really enjoy. James used to work for Billboard, and includes lots of color photos in the book of his extensive Christmas collection. Aren't the old album covers and song sheet artwork the best?? Check it out, you won't be disappointed!

...
James, being much younger than I, had been doing the same thing for many holiday songs, including ones that he remembered as a child.
...
James Richliano sure did, and her incredible story is in this book.
...
James did this too, but he is a real writer. I am just an electrician who created a new line of holiday bubble lights and who, like James, somewhere along the way seriously fell in love with our Christmas music history and images.
