James J. Matzureff James J. Matzureff was born in Washington, D.C. on September 22, 1961 and graduated from Musselman High School in 1979.He received his Bachelor of Arts degree studies (English) from Shepherd College in 1983 and his Juris Doctor degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 1986.Mr. Matzureff
was first admitted to the West Virginia State Bar
in 1987 and is also licensed to practice in the District of Columbia.He
is admitted to practice before various federal courts, including the United States District Courts
for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, the United States Court of Appeals
for the Fourth Circuit and the United States Court of Appeals
for the District of Columbia Circuit.Mr. Matzureff is an active member of the American Bar Association, the West Virginia State Bar, the West Virginia Bar Association and the West Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.He is a founding partner of Power, Beck & Matzureff and practices primarily in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice and insurance bad faith.His litigation experience also includes products liability cases, contract law cases and appellate practice and procedure.Mr. Matzureff is an associate professor on the graduate faculty of Central Michigan University and teaches law-related courses for the University's graduate degree programs.
