Mr. Lapeze is a member of the firm's oil and gas practice group.

has handled litigation matters in both state and federal court, as well as in arbitration and before a number of state regulatory agencies.
These matters arise primarily from upstream oil and gas operations, including development and royalty demands on operators, expropriation actions, and land ownership disputes.
has extensive experience in handling a variety of environmental and land damage claims, including environmental claims relating to oilfield operations, underground storage tanks, and NORM.
In addition to his
litigation practice, Mr. Lapeze
provides advice and representation to clients on drafting and interpreting oil and gas agreements, payment of royalties, lease maintenance, lease development, assignment of lease interests, and obligations of operators and mineral rights owners.
is licensed in both Louisiana and Texas.
Prior to joining Liskow & Lewis, Mr. Lapeze practiced with a large firm in Houston, Texas.
He earned his law degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and served as senior editor on the Louisiana Law Review.
