Juror of the 19th Annual Juried Art Exhibition: James Klueg
Klueg's ceramic pots show his interest in the interaction of the two kinds of sign that are text and visual images. Klueg is interested in expanding the ceramic vessel legacy that has traditionally used these resources for often more mundane purposes into a range of present visual cultural possibilities that compel him. He is a Professor of Art and head of the Department of Art and Design at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Art by James Klueg James Klueg: ceramics Klueg works to make smart art pottery that could only be made in the present, and that has at least something to say on various levels to diverse visual audiences. Klueg incorporates text and imagery into his ceramic vessels. He is currently the a Professor/Ceramics Area Head at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
