James Kallman Joins The National Alliance As Director of The Academy and CRM Program
...Kallman, Ph.D., ARM, as Executive Vice President and Director of The Academy of Producer Insurance Studies and the Certified Risk Managers (CRM) Program.Dr. Kallman
will play a leading role in setting the overall direction and guiding the research and product development for The Academy, the research and development arm of The National Alliance
will be responsible for updating and expanding the curriculum of the CRM Program.Prior to joining The National Alliance, Kallman was a professor at St. John,s University, the School of Risk Management (formerly The College of Insurance), where he taught graduate and undergraduate classes in corporate risk management, risk control, financial management, and risk management and insurance, as well as property and liability insurance, life and health insurance, financial management of insurers, financial risk management, the psychology of risk, and global risk management.Dr. Kallman
wrote materials for RIMS, Risk Management Fellow courses, and Risk Control chapters for the National Underwriter texts.He is a frequent presenter at meetings of the American Risk and Insurance Association, the Western Risk and Insurance Association, and the Risk and Insurance Management Society, and serves on various committees in these organizations.A former insurance agency owner, Kallman also brings 12 years of business experience to his new position. ,Dr.Kallman,s combined academic, research, and business backgrounds are well-suited to guiding the future of Academy research, and developing and enhancing the curriculum of the CRM Program,, remarked Academy President, William T.
