ELMORE, JAMES L. JR
...
To the best of everyone's knowledge, James Lee Elmore is his real name.Allegedly, he has been known to use Aliases, fake names, fake social security numbers and fake identification cards.
James also seems to like to claim ownership to many things that he is not even affiliated with.He recently claimed to be owner of a couple of night clubs in Las Vegas ... research shows that he doesn't own anything or have any assets.
The Scam That Triggered XFanatics
** The following information is based on research and/or opinion, as well as statements made by the parties involved. **
James Elmore made his way out to Las Vegas sometime in March of 2004.Prior to that, many events were posted on his website, fanaticradio.com that never actually took place. This was common with the Fanatic Radio site.He ended up meeting some of the members of the "Wack Pack" from the Howard Stern Show while it was in Vegas for it's annual live broadcast from the Hard Rock.He worked out a plan to have 4 members of the Wack Pack live in a house for the entire month of July.During this time, web cams were to be set up throughout the house and broadcast live onto a website that he registered, WhackPackLive.com.A separate camera crew was to capture outside footage that would later be edited and produced for an uncensored DVD.The plan seemed good in theory, and he was able to convince a lot of people to get deeply involved in the project.
James contacted Dave through his website, yourlasvegasvacation.com.Dave owns a very nice vacation rental property in Henderson, NV.By using his typical lies about how popular and successful Fanatic Radio was, James convinced Dave to let him use his property as the house for this event. It then became known as "The Wack Shack".Not only did James con Dave into letting him use the property, he was able to get Dave to invest thousands of dollars into the project, which is the only way James was able to even get it off the ground (James had no money).James knew that if he could get the project started, he could pursue other investors.
James then allegedly started contacting all different types of companies out in the Las Vegas area.He would try to sell them "Sponsorship Packages" that ranged in price from $25,000 - $100,000 for advertising during the event ... {an event that was starting in less than a month and was using very minimal public promotion} James was apparently able to get many different companies & individuals to invest in the project in one way or another. He had promised each member of the Wack Pack $15,000 each before he even had anywhere close to enough funds to pay them, not to mention the debt that he was accumulating daily. This debt was the result of him trying to maintain his "big-shot" image in front of all parties involved, so they wouldn't catch on to his lies.
...
James hasn't been seen since.
Needless to say, many people are looking for him.We started XFanatics to help the people involved with the Wack Pack situation, and ended up finding an absolutely overwhelming amount of information about prior scams pulled by James Elmore and Fanatic Radio.
