DR. JAMES R. CHATHAM, II
Dr. Jim Chatham has served as pastor of First Baptist Church Dickson since 1997. He received his Doctor of Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in May, 1987, where he attended on full scholarship. He received his Master of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Before coming to First Baptist Dickson, Dr. Chatham served as pastor at First Baptist Church, Owensboro, Kentucky, and Harrisburg Baptist Church, Tupelo. He served as associate pastor at Germantown Baptist Church in Germantown, Tennessee and has also held positions as Minister of Education and Youth Minister, elsewhere. Dr. Chatham and his wife, Glenda, have been married since 1974. They have three daughters. Jim Chatham, the couple's pastor at First Baptist Church, said it had been his privilege for several years to serve as "Dan and Dana's pastor and to observe their great love for each other.You saw her courage even more when you watched her live through her illness, striving to find the meaning in life," Chatham said.Chatham said Kaye exhibited grace through her illness.You could see her heart and the passion she had for people," Chatham added.
