During the meeting one of the presentation slides by TxDOT revealed that it could cost $10 million per mile to create a four-lane road under interstate specifications.
"You can build four-lane divided roads or improve existing roads by adding additional lanes or access roads where needed, without federal guidelines and restrictions, and at a much lower cost," Beauchamp
