Mayor James R. Barberio
Born in 1960, one of 5 children, Mayor Barberio moved to Parsippany - Troy Hills in 1964 and has been a resident for the past 47 years.
Mayor Barberio attended Eastlake Elementary School, Brooklawn Junior High and graduated from Parsippany Hills High School in 1979.
Mayor Barberio was inaugurated on January 1, 2010, finally fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming Mayor of the largest town in Morris County.
Prior to becoming Mayor, he attended Montclair State University and spent 18 years in the financial field in the private sector.
As a pro-active leader of the community, Mayor Barberio is known for reaching out to residents and business owners.

Mayor Barberio continues to fight for his constituents to ensure that Parsippany receives it fair share of State funding.
Mayor Barberio served on Parsippany's Township Council from 2002 to 2005 and 2007 to 2009.
He is a trustee of the Sons of Italy, a member of the New Jersey League of Municipalities Legislative Committee and currently serves on the Parsippany-Troy Hills Library Board of Trustees and the Parsippany Police Athletic League Board of Directors.

wife, Brenda and their two children.
