After concluding his collegiate football career, Dr. Torres went into the fitness industry and served as a personal trainer for many successful years.

needed to be back in the healthcare field.
Dr. Torres has been active in the health and wellness industry for the past 10 years and is happy to be serving in this capacity.

Dr. Jacob Torres
is a native of San Antonio, TX.
takes a lot of pride in being from San Antonio, and graduating from his
Alma Mater, Harlandale High School
At a very young age, Dr. Torres
was inspired by his
brother in law to begin playing sports.
This was an opportunity that no one in his
family was able to take advantage of.
Through this opportunity he
was able to paint a different picture of how life should be through health.
In 2004 he graduated from Texas A&M University-Kingsville with his bachelors in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Public Health.
Through these experiences is when Dr. Jacob Torres
was able to realize what his
purpose in life was.
quickly realized that he
wanted to help people reach their Maximal Potential and live the life that they are destined to live.
After seeing family members struggle with health issues all their lives Dr. Torres
decided to begin studying and researching why people were suffering from different debilitating diseases.
In 2005, his
mother was diagnosed with Granuloma Sarcoidosis, his
sister with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and later on he
was diagnosed with Vitiligo.
These are all incurable diseases that have no known cure and are affecting people's lives adversely.
This is when he
began to study and seek advice from many different physicians on how and why these diseases had come about.
It was with this curiosity that he
started to study further on how to help patients naturally.
was able to learn from very credible physicians.
One of the main mentors that he
was able to learn from was Dr. Dhatis Kharrazian who is the author of "Why do I still have thyroid symptoms when my lab results are normal?.
went on to get certified in Functional Medicine, Functional Thyroid and Autoimmune Disorders, Functional Blood Chemistry and Analysis, Functional Brain and Neurotransmitter Assessment, Functional Endocrinology and Clinical Nutrition to further empower his
patients on how to make the correct choices.
is always studying and reading up on the latest trends in healthcare to make sure that his
patients get the highest standard of care and knowledge.
is also using all this knowledge to write his
own book on how to live the wellness lifestyle.
also has a deep passion for working with athletes of every kind.
has gone on to further his
knowledge to offer services in athletic performance, cold laser therapies, and myofascial adhesion treatments.
Dr. Torres had the distinct honor of being selected to serve on the medical staff in the Pan Am Games to help treat athletes of all parts of the world during competition.
He is also the official wellness doctor and treats all the players of the San Antonio Scorpions of the North American Soccer League and the San Antonio Talons of the Arena Football League.
