He is a master of traditional country blues and stride piano, and a powerful singer/songwriter, as well. He also accompanies himself on the guitar and harmonicas and has lately added the fiddle to his arsenal of musical weapons. He was a fixture on the coffeehouse circuit in the late '60s and early '70s. Jack resumed his solo career in 1977, then teamed up with reed player Al Oliveira in 1983. Jack is also touring with Deborah Anne Fisher as the "Fisher & Radcliffe" duo, and plays piano, guitar, fiddle and banjo in their show of "songs from the heart of America." Most recently, Jack has joined "The Boston Boatmen," as fiddler, backup vocalist and occasional rhythm guitarist. Jack was inducted into the Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame in August, 2014. What others have said: "When Jack sits down at the piano, you don't need a time machine. The world goes into a fugue state, James P. Johnson and Fats Waller emerge from the Other Side, and Jack converses with them in an idiom it takes a lifetime to learn. "Jack's the undisputed master of country blues piano."

A duo from the internationally-touring "Rolling Roots Revue" troupe, this dynamic pair covers the cultural history of America, performing music from the Appalachian, Country, Gospel, Blues, Vaudeville, Jug Band, Early Jazz and Ragtime traditions. 'Ragtime' Jack Radcliffe and Deborah Anne Fisher play a dazzling array of instruments (piano, guitar, ukulele, washboard, fiddle and mandolin to name a few), sing beautiful harmonies, and maintain an upbeat patter, all making for an energetic, soulful and uplifting evening of entertainment.
'Ragtime' Jack Radcliffe is a life-long piano player who finally came to his senses a few years back and started carrying the fiddle around, instead of the grand piano he'd been lugging from gig to gig.
He also plays the guitar from time to time and adds a few vocal embellishments. Their repertoire includes songs from the British Isles, Ireland, and the American Folk tradition. They love parties and can be fairly easily coaxed into playing for yours. Give John a call at 508-930-9933 to work out the details,
