Jack Overstreet, an Englewood oil and gas executive and among the most prolific fund raisers for the Republican Party and President George W. Bush, has donated $100,000 toward Bush's inauguration, according to the Presidential Inaugural Committee.
Overstreet is a partner in Legacy International Inc., based in Englewood.
Overstreet was on a list of "major" donors posted Dec. 16 on the committee's Web site.He joined energy industry executives and others around the country who gave anywhere from $25,000 to $250,000 to help pay for the inaugural ceremonies.
The Jan. 20 inauguration is estimated to cost between $30 million and $40 million, which private donations will cover.
Overstreet has personally donated more than $150,000 to the party and Republican candidates since 2001, according to Federal Election Commission records.
