John E. Fowler SEABROOK - John Edward Fowler, 74, of Seabrook, died Saturday, May 13, 2006, at his home. He was born May 14, 1931, in Salisbury, Mass., a son of the late Isaac E. "Buster" Fowler and the late Carl Smith Bragg and Edna L. (Maple) Fowler Bragg.He graduated from Newburyport (Mass.) High School, class of 1949, where he excelled in baseball, football and basketball. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps at age 18 and served 20 years active service, and 10 years reserve status, retiring in 1980 as a master sergeant with 30 years of service.He was a veteran of both the Korean War and Vietnam and also served in the U.S. Embassy in Paris. He was the husband of the late Hildegarde Nona (Brown) Fowler, who predeceased him in 1998. Family members include his son, John E. and his wife Janice Rone Fowler of Fremont; his daughter, Bonnie Lee Crook and her husband Robert of Miami Lakes, Fla.; three brothers, Malcolm A. Fowler of Port Charlotte, Fla., Douglas M. Fowler of Spring Hill, Fla., and Carl S. Bragg, Jr. of Newburyport, Mass.; two sisters, Lorraine M. Gaucher of Rye and Sylvia A. Melican of Seabrook; three grandchildren, Jessica Fowler, James and William Murray; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
