Jack Cody, an English and drama teacher at Graham High School in Graham ISD, was named Texas Secondary Teacher of the Year.He was also selected to be Texas' representative in the National Teacher of the Year Program.Panel members said they chose Cody and Tierce as Texas Teachers of the Year because of the strong compassion for children the two displayed during their interviews.Cody and Tierce will each receive $4,000 honoraria for being named Texas Teachers of the Year.
