Since 1987, CHU and WATERS, LLP has provided audit, accounting, tax compliance, financial planning, corporate strategic and organization consulting and forward tax planning services to middle-market clientele with revenues ranging from $2 to $300 million, and municipality enterprise funds with assets of $240 million to $960 million with related revenues of $200 million for which Mr. Chu has served as the client service administrator.Mr. Chu has been a certified public accountant since 1974 and is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Prior to establishing CHU and WATERS, LLP, Mr. Chu was with the national firm of Main, Hurdman & Cranstoun, Certified Public Accountants, which subsequently merged with KPMG.Mr. Chu holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Business Administration) from the University of California at Berkeley and a Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Mr. Chu is co-founder, past Chairman, President, member of the Board of Directors of the East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC), Oakland, California, a non-profit organization developing affordable and low income housing with $150 million in assets.Mr. Chu is a past member of the Board of Directors of Community Bank of the Bay, (a chartered community development bank) Oakland, California, with $30 million in assets, past Board member and Treasurer of the Family Service Agency of San Francisco, a non-profit agency with an operating budget of $10 million which provides family support and managed care services to moderate and low income families, past member of the Board of Trustee of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, past Chairman and Treasurer of the City of San Francisco Mayor's Office of Housing and Economic Development Chapter IX Loan Board, with a revolving loan portfolio of $5 million providing low interest and term financing for small San Francisco businesses, past Director and Treasurer of the Community Alliance for Syndicated Housing, Inc., Oakland, California, a non-profit corporation responsible for attracting more than $70 million of private investment in low income housing from Bay Area publicly traded corporati
