In 1987, Jack Warren Burnam was named Music Director.
Under Mr. Burnam's leadership, not only did the group grow in size, but it matured in its ensemble and sound, as it explored a diverse and challenging repertoire. Jack Warren Burnam was CoroAllegro's Music Director since its inception. In April 2014, Jack conducted his last concert with the group. He bid a fond farewell to the group as he moved on to other avenues of musical creation. While with the group, he enjoyed an active professional career in Delaware for over forty years as a choral conductor, organist, teacher, accompanist and composer. He is Choirmaster and Organist at Immanuel Church on the Green in New Castle, Delaware.

Choirs of Church of the Holy Spirit, Harleysville; St. Stephens Pro-Cathedral, Wilkes-Barre; and Immanuel on the Green, New Castle, Del., with their directors, Sue Ellen Echard, Mark Laubach and Jack Burnam are seen at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine in June 2014.
The group that went to Bristol in 2012 was made up mostly of Holy Spirit choir members, with a few invited guests, such as Mark Laubach, music director at St. Stephens Episcopal Pro-Cathedral in Wilkes-Barre, and Jack Burnam, music director at Immanuel on the Green in New Castle, Del., Moliterno said.

Jack Warren Burnam pursues an active career as a choral conductor, organist, teacher, accompanist and composer. He is Choirmaster and Organist at Immanuel Church on the Green in New Castle, Delaware. His compositions and arrangements for choirs and congregation are regularly heard there, and several of his settings have been published in the Hymnal 1982, the supplemental hymnal "Wonder, Love and Praise," and other hymnals and hymnal supplements. Mr. Burnam is in his twenty-sixth season as Music Director of the highly regarded Delaware chamber chorus CoroAllegro. He recently retired from a twenty-year-long career as director of the Middle and Upper School choral program at Tower Hill School in Wilmington. Mr. Burnam studied conducting with Robert Shewan, Michael Korn, Jeanette Wells and Lloyd Geisler.

Jack Warren Burnam pursues an active professional career as a choral conductor, teacher, accompanist, and composer, as well as organist.
He is Organist and Choirmaster at Immanuel Episcopal Church on the Green in New Castle, Delaware. He has previously served as Music Director and Organist of Immanuel Church, Highlands, and Congregation Beth Emeth, both in Wilmington, Delaware. He is Music Director of the chamber chorus CoroAllegro, and he directs the middle and upper school choral program at Tower Hill School. He is a past president of the Association of Anglican Musicians. Mr. Burnam began his organ studies in high school with J. Harrison Walker at St. Andrew's Church, Wilmington, Delaware, and he has studied with Charles Finney, Robert Plimpton, and Conrad Bernier. He has degrees in sacred music from Houghton College (NY) and Catholic University of America, and holds the Associate and Choirmaster certificates of the American Guild of Organists.
