J. Brian Merena has more than 20 years in executive leadership roles with some of the leading financial institutions and payment processors in the bankcard industry.
Before joining Veracity, Merena oversaw all third party strategic partners as senior vice president with Bank of America Merchant Services (BAMS), including VAR and ISV integrations as well as developing and executing the company's product and sales and conversion strategies.
Prior to his tenure at BAMS, Merena held various senior management positions including executive vice president at United Bank Card where he successfully built from the ground up, all aspects of their Financial Institution (FI) program including relationship management, FI reporting, marketing programs, campaigns and all sales related initiatives.
Merena's career also included senior management positions with Moneris Solutions, Elavon (formerly Nova Information Systems) and National Data Corporation where he successfully managed national sales teams and oversaw their agent and community bank programs.
Responsible for expanding Veracity's channel strategy and initiatives, Merena will oversee product design, marketing, customer acquisition, sales support, business development and client services for the financial institutions.
Merena holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut.
