J. KEVIN LAWLER
Kevin Lawler is the Managing Member of N-K Ventures LC.
25-year career as a national real estate advisor he
was instrumental in structuring a number of "public-private" development projects.
Starting in the late 1970's and continuing through the mid 1980's Kevin served as the lead real estate advisor the Centre City Development Corporation (San Diego, CA) in the structuring of public private development for the City's new Convention Center and a 1,000 room hotel; during this time period Kevin also served as an advisor to the Anchorage Development Corporation for public-private venture of a "town center" and on behalf of several private developers involved with the negotiations of public private partnerships with the Pennsylvania Avenue Development Corporation (PADC) in Washington, DC.
In the late 1980's Kevin was deeply involved as the lead advisor in the formation of public private partnerships for Towson Town Center
(Baltimore County, MD) and the Pentagon City Shopping Center (Arlington, VA).
In the 1990's Kevin served as the real estate advisor in the formation of several public private partnerships, including the Loews Miami Beach Hotel
, Fort Amador Hotel and Casino (Panama Canal Zone), and CityPlace, in West Palm Beach, FL.
has continued to advise a number of Community Redevelopment Agencies
in the State of Florida on major public private development projects, including Daytona Beach, the City of Temple Terrace and the City of Miramar
Kevin is an active member of ULI.
In addition to serving in the ULI "leadership group", he current serves on the Policy and Practice Committee and is a member of the Multi-family Council (Silver Flight).
He has served on 11 Panel Advisory Services, several ULI project analysis teams, and been a Vice Chair of the SE Florida Council.
In October 2000, ULI
service with the Robert O'Donnell Award.
has also lectured extensively on real estate development and finance, including George Washington University Business School, the Wharton School, Harvard Business School, Georgetown University, and the University of Miami
He is a graduate of Michigan State University and received a MCP from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University where he was also a Mellon and Ford Foundation Fellow.
