Najeeb HassanNajeeb Hassan joined Heenan Blaikie in 2006 after serving as a Vice-Chair at the British Columbia Labour Relations Board.
In that role he
adjudicated a broad spectrum of applications under the Labour Relations Code and related statutes, including certification and decertification of trade unions, unfair labour practice complaints, strikes, lockouts, picketing, essential service designations and review of arbitration awards. Mr. Hassan
possesses an in-depth understanding of health care operations, which he
obtained through representation of public and private health employers while employed with the Health Employers Association of British Columbia
.During that time he
acted as counsel in numerous grievance and interest arbitrations, Labour Relations Board and human rights matters.He also has extensive experience in administrative law, having appeared before many different boards and tribunals. Najeeb
has lectured extensively in the area of labour relations and has taught personnel management to health care administrators. Mr. Hassan's
practice brings a practical, common sense approach to complex legal issues.In partnership with public and private sector clients, he
provides strategic planning, insightful advice and advocacy, to prevent and resolve conflict in the workplace.
