J. MICHAEL GOULDING joined the firm as a senior attorney in October 2002.Mike has practiced for over 20 years in the employee benefits field.Mike's practice focuses on qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, deferred compensation arrangements, equity and cash-based executive compensation, the international aspects of such plans, fiduciary litigation and other employee benefits matters.Mike has taught employee benefits, ERISA, and executive compensation courses as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Arizona State University College of Law, and as an instructor in the Arizona State University College of Business Masters Degree in Taxation Program and the Keller Graduate School of Management Masters Degree in Human Resources Program.He has also written and lectured extensively on many topics in the employee benefits and executive compensation fields.Mike is a member of the Employee Benefits Committee of the ABA Tax Section.Mike is also a member of the Western Pension & Benefits Conference, the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals, and the Global Equity Organization.B.A., International Relations, Brigham Young University, 1975; J.D., University of Utah College of Law, 1978.
