FIA Region I . Decade of Action in Croatia
HAK President Ivo Bikiæ, pointed out in his speech that HAK, as a national association, protects the interests and safety of drivers and all road users.
At the same time, it is a very important partner of the State in carrying out so called public authorisations: performing driving examinations and supervision of driving schools' activities, supervision of stations for the technical check-up of vehicles, road information and road assistance, issuing of international documents, and the collecting and selling of cars under customs competence.
"HAK is performing all these activities according to the highest standards, professionally and responsibly and will continue with its future development", concluded Mr Bikiæ.
The basic interest of all road users is safe and sustainable mobility.
The UN Decade of Action for Road Safety is dedicated to this cause.
The President of the Republic of Croatia, Dr. Josipoviæ, the President of HAK, Mr Bikiæ, and the President of HAKS, Mr Kostrenèiæ, signed a Declaration in support of the UN Decade of Action at this occasion with the aim of building stronger cooperation between public, private and civil society in Croatia, and to advocate the principles of safe and responsible driving.
President Bikiæ confirmed his personal commitment and the firm commitment of HAK to this important cause.
FIA Region I . Bright Future for Croatian Auto Club
As Ivo Biki, HAK President explains, the club was founded by just 14 members a century ago.
"Since then, the Croatian Automobile Club
has operated without any discontinuation," says Biki
"It had its oscillations, as during the Second World War, and in 1991 its historical name was given back to it.
In the ex-Yugoslavia, the club was called the Auto Moto Association of Croatia
became to the chairman of Croatian Automobile Club
He had started his career in automobile club in Vinkovci.
Also in 2006, his
original automobile club celebrated its eightieth anniversary.

Mr Bangsgaard was greeted by HAK President, Mr Ivo Bikic, HAK Secretary General, Mr Zvonko Smuk, and the Head of International Relations for the club, Ms Eva Kostevc.

They gave Tomislav DruÅ¾ak, a secretary general of the Croatian Auto Club, the gifts of grateful (on a photo), for the sponsorship of the 2007 Motocross Croatian Grand Prix, for the HAK President Mr Ivo BikiÄ‡ and Mr DruÅ¾ak himself.
