.Ivan is one of the assistant brought with head coach Paul Johnson from Georgia Southern.Ivan
coached the quarterbacks in Georgia Southern's intricate triple-option attack. Jasper
fine-tuned the development of Southern Conference Player-of-the-Year and All-America quarterback Greg Hill, who during his
senior season became the first player in NCAA I-AA history to rush (3,309) and pass (3,369) for over 3,000 career yards. Prior to his appointment at GSU in January, 1999, Jasper served as offensive coordinator at Indiana State University during the 1998 season.
As quarterbacks and fullbacks coach, he
helped ISU turn in a 5-6 overall record, an improvement from a three-win season in 1997 and coordinated an offense which averaged nearly 15 points and nearly 100 yards more per game in ‘98 than the previous season. Before assuming the offensive coordinator's position at the Naval Academy Prep School in Newport, R.I., in 1997, Jasper spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Navy in 1995 and 1996 handling quarterbacks, fullbacks and slotbacks while Paul Johnson served as Mids' offensive coordinator.He
also assisted on the University of Hawaii staff as a graduate assistant during the spring of 1995.
As a player, Jasper
was a three-year letterman at quarterback and slotback at Hawaii (1991-1993) where he
helped the Rainbows to a Western Athletic Conference title and a victory over Illinois in the 1992 Holiday Bowl. Jasper earned a bachelor's degree in criminology from Hawaii in 1994.He
and wife Donna Joe are the parents of a daughter, Dallas (4) and a son Jaylen (1).
